Body butter that takes you to a tropical island

Who doesn’t like butter? I do, especially with some freshly baked warm bread with a drip of honey. The comfort that bread and butter give me, I can’t find it anywhere else. Well, today, we will talk about a butter but not that kind. We will be talking about a butter, that is meant for your skin. Lately I have been talking a lot about body products. Well, lets add one more to the collection shall we. We certainly do not need to make things entertaining here.  Lately, it has been so cold and my skin has been really suffering from flakiness and dryness. No matter how much of what I use, I still suffer from the dryness. I decided to give this body butter a try. I am not a body butter person. It reminds me of my teenage years where I had no clue what to use for my skin. I used anything and everything that I found from my mom and my cousins. I used to gear towards anything colorful. I even went to make up shopping in Claire’s which  was immature. Oh my god, I was a disaster back then. I remember going to the body shop and buying this body butter set that was chocolate flavor. It smelled like chocolates but who wants to smell like chocolate. Not me. It literally made me feel nauseous.  After that day, I gave up on body butters and stick with lotions and body serums. Every time I think of a body butter, I get nauseating feeling. Also, I am irked by sticky feeling that usually body butter leaves.  This week, I broke the tradition and decided to change my bad experience with a good one.  Isn’t that what is life about? I found this amazing body butter from Nutrius called Brazilian Body Butter. Let’s skip the pleasantries and jump in to this review. Shall we?

My Experiences

I have never used any other products from this Nutrius before. I am slightly smitten by this brand and I am excited to try their other products as well. Sometimes best products come out from unknown brands. This body butter amazed me! I am pleasantly surprised and impressed. Not going to lie, I was not expecting much from this.

Let’s talk about the texture. As expected from a body butter, the texture is very thick and rich. It is very goopy but very satisfying texture.  When you touch it, it feels very luxurious. You can tell it is extremely nourishing. When you apply, you only need a little bit. A little goes a long way.  I think the jar will last me about a year as it is a really big one. This body butter smells really good as it smells like tropical coconuts.  It reminds me of summer. It takes me back to the trip I had couple years ago to St Kitts.  The smell lingers on for a while before it dies down. But it should be noted, the smell is not overpowering or obnoxious. It is simply a subtle scent that is just very pleasant. It does not absorb as fast but that is expected from a body butter. You need to really rub it in. Good thing is that it doesn’t leave sticky greasy feel at all. Skin just feels soft without any residue which I find it to be convenient. Hate those body butters that grease your entire outfit.

When I analyze the ingredients, I am highly impressed. Each of the key ingredients has a great purpose and once they are combined, they are in great harmony with each other. I love how it has coconut oil as I love coconut oil in my skincare. Unique and clean ingredients make the body butter extremely effective.

As I mentioned before, my skin gets really dry during winter months. When I started using this, my skin was so dry and flakey. It was constantly itchy because it was really dry. After starting to use this body butter, my skin instantly started to repair itself. As soon as I applied, the flakey and dry looking skin started to disappear. My skin felt soft and moisturized.  My skin feels no longer itchy or dry. It gave my skin this healthy glow that I cannot seem to get enough of.  I just love this product as it is extremely effective.

The effects of this body butter stay on for a long time. I use it once a week and it is enough to hydrate and prepare my skin for the week. I prefer using this body butter on Sundays where I do full head to toe self-care routine where I get ready for the week. I apply this body butter right after my long shower. Once I apply it, I am pretty much done. My skin feels soft, and I am good for one whole we no matter how cold it is outside. It is just a great product. What shocks me is that, even if you use it once a week, it still delivers what it promises. I just love everything about this body butter where it does wonders to my dry skin.

I was really worried about irritation since I have a very sensitive skin but thankfully, I have experienced no issues. It is an absolute blessing. It advises us to use this body butter daily, but I do not have that kind of a time sadly. I use it once a week and my skin are well taken care of. It makes life so much simpler, and I still have the softest skin. Magic!

Overall, I love this product and I am planning on using it for years and years to come. It worked for me very well. Since it is effective and non-irritating, it is my holy grail body butter added to my weekly skincare routine.  They are also very easy to find. They sell on Amazon. I love when skincare is made easily accessible. I hate shopping at Sephora and Ulta because I always end up overspending. (I tend to find other products I always wanted to try along the way.  No shame!) It is much easier for me to go on amazon website, exactly knowing what I want and clicking two times before closing the app. I love easy and convenient and certainly this product makes this possible for me.

I think you should definitely give this one a try! I really don’t think you will be disappointed. This body butter could be great use all year around. I love everything about it and I got nothing bad to say. I mean who can say no to that texture. I am obsessed and you will be too.
